  If our traditional view of Supply and Demand still leads us to support a system that is ecologically destructive, stressful, and unequal, then it is time to admit that this view is outdated and unfit for today’s global economy.

  This manifesto presents the reflections of a designer committed to sustainability: human motivations could lead to genuine well-being, provided we question the absurdity of many public and consumer decisions.

  Written as an essay and as a lexicon of new terms, it is aimed at those who still believe in a positive future — designers, artisans, artists, urban planners, growers, cooks, naturalists — offering them a shared language to advocate for a sustainable, circular, and local economy.

  Change will emerge when enough cities and regions create meaningful local jobs and demonstrate that they truly live better than those that refuse to evolve.
